U-Tron

In the beginning

U-Tron (Beijing) Electronics Co. Ltd., was established in 1992 as a WOFE (Wholly Owned Foreign Enterprise) registered in Beijing, China. The entire of funding for the company was invested by an American company, America-China Business Associates. The main purpose was to bring US computer and communication technology products to China for manufacturing and localization.

U-Tron (Beijing) Electronics Co. Ltd., started its operation in Beijing at the centrally located factory building which was part of the #2 Printing Factory of Beijing. It entered into a long-term agreement with the #2 printing factory for the "right to use" 1,000 square meters of its factory floor (East 5th Floor) for the next 25 years.

However, the rapid development of Beijing in recent years has transformed this area into the most advanced central business district of Beijing, and many restrictions were imposed on factories to encourage then to relocate to the outskirts of the city, and so U-Tron (Beijing) Electronics Co. Ltd., moved its manufacturing facility to the Beijing Development Area in Yizhuang.
