U-Tron's LED Helios Light bulbs can get hot if used in a closed environment. If a lamp shade is not properly ventilated LED Helios bulbs can get very hot resulting in a rapid reduction in light intensity. LED Helios light bulbs are made with aluminum heat radiators to keep the LEDs cool and need an air flow to maintain a minimum acceptable temperature for a long life span. If the temperature is kept to less than 65 degrees Celsius these light bulbs can be used for five to 10 years. If poor ventilation causes the heat to rise to over 70 degrees Celsius the life span will be reduced to one to three years.

Q. How can I tell what is the temperature of the lamp?
A. Leave the light switched for one or two hours, and then, using a piece of cloth, slowly and carefully, touch the aluminum body of the lamp and see if it feels hot. Do not touch the bulb with a bare hand unless you are certain it is not hot. Prolonged contact with a hot lamp may cause serious burn injuries. If the bulb is too hot to touch it is overheating. In this event you must stop using the LED Helios light bulbs in this lamp hade. Your lampshade may require another kind of light bulb or may be a fire hazard. Please consult a sales agent about your application.
Q. How can I tell which LED Helios I need to replace my 60 Watt light bulb?
A. A single LED Helios which consume only 4.5 Watts to give a brightness equivalent to a 40 Watt incandescent light bulb. So in some cases you may need more than one LED Helios to meet the original illumination required.
Q. Can I buy a higher power LED Helios to replace 80 and 100 Watt light bulbs?
A. Yes you can. Although, the current technology in the LED development is not aimed at developing higher powered LED Helios, and we are continuously pushing the limits in our research and developments to produce LED Helios bulbs of higher power which are safe to use and save energy and produce adequate illumination. Although several manufactures claim to have higher wattage LED light bulbs heat dissipation and the size of the light bulb remain challenges.
Q. My LED Helios is too white and too bright, can I purchase a less bright or warm light bulb?
A. Yes you can purchase warm white LED Helios. They are made with 2000 to 3500 Kelvin color temperature LEDs. They give a much warmer white light that many people prefer.
Q. I don't feel any heat on the bottom half of the LED light. How do I know the LED lamp is working properly?
A. Solid State Lighting operates differently to a conventional light bulb. The light itself is produced and emitted from only one side of the chip. But due to the current passing through the chip the LED chip the other side of the chip produces heat. So you may not feel any heat in the front of the light bulb. All the heat is going to the aluminum heat sink that holds the LED chip set.
Q. How many chips are there in a Helios light bulb?
A. There are three Cree Q2 Chips drawing 350 mA internal constant current at 12 VDC.
Q. What if I have to replace the power supply?
A. There are no service parts in these Light bulb. However, you can reorder the LED chipsets from the DIY list and if the rest of your lamp is still intact use the instruction given bellow to re assemble them. U-Tron shall not take any responsibility for your workmanship.
Q. How long can I use my LED Helios light bulb?
A. Cree LEDs are rated for a period of 50,000 hours of operation before its light intensity by falls by 30 % below its original value. U-Tron Helios bulbs come with a three year warranty. If you feel the light intensity is not up to standard then please check the lamp shade enclosures. Sometime this may cause problems.
Q. Where can I buy or get replacement parts for the LED Helios?
A: You can get all U-Tron products from your nearest U-Tron dealer or by calling U-Tron directly and telling us what you require. Please tell us the part number you are looking for and the date of your purchase. You can call us from within China using the toll free number 400-262-1806.
Q. How can I tell when to replace my LED Helios?
A. If your light has dimmed to a level that is too low for the desired application, then its time to buy a new LED Helios. However, if you are using the light bulb for only eight hours per day we would expect that you would only need to purchase a new LED Helios after 17 years.
Q. I noticed the plastic cover is blocking the light, Can I remove the plastic cover when using.
A. Yes you can. You will get 20% more lumen with out the cover. The cover is there for 3 reasons:
1. To make the light to spared evenly and to be more gentle on the eyes.
2. To protect the LEDs from dust and moisture.
3. To reduce electrical hazardous.
The plastic cover comes in many shapes and colors, but the disadvantage is the cover will block 20% of the original light emitted from the LEDs. Removing the cover when the bulbs are installed inside a lamp share is very desirable.

Assembly Instructions
- First put a heat sink compound under the PCB before tighten it to the main frame using the M3 screw.
- After the PCB and the main frame fix together, the E27 plastic base will threaded on the top of the main frame.
- Insert the power supply through the hole from the top of the main frame and E27 plastic base. Solder the red wire from the power supply to the positive or plus sign on the pcb, likewise with the black wire from the power supply to the negative or minus sign on the pcb.
- Either one of the white wire coming from the power supply should be soldered on the top of the E27 edison screw. The other wire should be soldered on the bottom part of the E27 edison screw after the E27 edison screw is threaded on the E27 plastic base.
- Test the bulb whether it will light up.
- Finally fix the glass filter by threading it on the main frame.
Warranty clause:
U-Tron (Beijing) Electronics Co. Ltd., warrant the products listed bellow for a period of 36 months from the date of shipment to be free from defects in material or workmanship and to be of the kind and quality designated or specified in the purchase agreements. If any products dose not meets the above warranty and the buyer promptly files a warranty claim U-Tron shall do the following:
U-Tron shall provide a 12 months "No Questions Asked" replacement of any faulty units at no charge to the customer. The time limit for exchange shall not exceed 30 days from the time a claim is filed by the buyers. The buyers shall return the faulty units within 30 days of filing the claim. The method of shipping back the faulty units to U-Tron shall be decided at that time by U-Tron and all shipping charges shall be borne by U-Tron.
At the end of the 12 month period U-Tron shall provide additional free extended warranty for another 24 months. During this 24 months time U-Tron shall repair or replace and re-certify every faulty units returned. Shipping charges for sending the units to U-Tron shall be the responsibility of the Buyers and the Shipping charges to return the repaired goods to the buyer shall be borne by U-Tron. Time limit for repairs shall not exceed 60 days.
U-Tron at our own option can elect to provide replacement units at any desired percentage to be warehoused and logged by the buyers for timely service of the extended warranty replacements. When the warranty expires the bad units and the unused spare parts items shall be shipped back to U-Tron unless otherwise stipulated in the contract or purchase agreements. If the warehoused quantities become 90% used up or nearing the end of stock, the buyers shall ship back the faulty units to U-Tron. U-Tron shall rotate the spare parts inventory with in 60 days of receiving from the buyers.
All warranty claims items shall by shipped to the buyers regardless of the geographical location, by air freight to the nearest airport or courier service to the customer site, and any returning items can be shipped by sea or air freight at the request of U-Tron. If the customer fails to return the said faulty units with in the time frame as instructed, it will be considered as sold and U-Tron reserve the rights to bill the customer for its full value.
U-Tron shall not bare any responsibilities with the buyers customer claims or shall not bare any other expenses incurred other than the units cost it self. Customer site un-installation and re-installation of any faulty units shall not be the responsibilities of U-Tron.
The warranties set forth herein shall be voided if the units have been 1) repaired or altered by any un-authorized person 2) subjected to misuse, negligence and accidents or operated in other than normal operation and use. 3) Connected, installed or modified in a manner not in accordance with U-Tron instructions.
