Lucas Trident Street Lights for main roads.

The U-Tron Lucas Tridents are the new addition to the Street Lights solutions U-Tron offer to our customers. They are easy to install and easy to adjust the tilted angle. The LED chamber is separated from the Driver chamber so you don't have to open the LEDs when you attach the power cord to the lamp. Tridents uses the U-Tron proprietary reflectors specially designed for the street lights to achieve maximum output just on the streets and perfect cut-off from the street to neighboring residential areas. Since the LEDs do not have lenses, it will minimize the yellowing and accumulation of dirt in between the lenses and the LEDs, which are the main 2 disadvantages of using lens.

The pointing angle of the outer tridents can be manually adjusted (0 to 15 degree) to achieve the best light distribution your customer disires.

At lower heights you will need about 10 degree tilting on both sides of the trident. Any heights over 12 Meters a mere 1 or 2 degree tilting will give you an exceptional even light distribution and sufficient coverage for 45 meters of Pole to Pole distance. All the right angles comes handy with every Tridents you purchase...

Lucas Trident will give you a very flexible light distribution control. Our older models were using concaved design but the Tridents are developed with the convex design. At these low angels the glare drivers usually complain will not be a problem.

Low energy consumption and high illumination makes this the ideal street light for any road, street, residential area or park.

Features and Benefits of U-Tron LEDs

1.    The right product for the application. Today's LEDs output the illumination necessary to protect our streets, our sky, and our environment.
2.    The LEAST costly alternative available today. LED Street Lights deliver the best economic return compared to conventional alternatives considering the total life-cycle costs including installation, maintenance and energy.
3.   Consume less energy. Generally, a LED consumes less than 1.15 watts to operate. This low power consumption means you save on your energy costs.

Lamp Post Installation

A total of six M10 bolts  is provided with each lamp. One, the top first bolt, is used for safety purposes. Lucas Lamps are designed to fit lamp post standards used around the world in most countries. However, there are variations and our lamps may not fit the lamp posts used in certain countries.  Please contact us to enquire about making special modification if required.  In general we support End of Post diameters from 65 mm to 72 mm. (2 inch to 2 ¾ inches).

Use the supplied M10 hex tool to secure 5 bolts to the pole tightly.  The 6th bolt, the top bolt, must go through the pole for safety reasons.

Safety Nut Installation

On the top side of the Lamp Post about 135mm from the end of pole we recommend you drill a 10mm diameter hole. This is to secure the lamp from falling off or sliding and twisting due to wind or other natural causes.

Lamp Post (Light Pole) Recomendations

Lucas Lights are designed for low height lamp posts.  To obtain the best results we recommend the upper part of the lamp post to be tilted upward about 105°. See Figure above.
