Beijing based high-tech company launches new LED energy-saving lamp.
U-Tron (Beijing) Electronics Co. Ltd exhibited its range of LED energy-saving lamps at the 10th China (Beijing) International Light Fair from April 14 – 16, 2009. At the exhibition U-Tron launched its new Lucas E40 Tube lamps as well as displaying its current range of LED based lights.

U-Tron's stand 8B201 in Hall 8 of the China International Exhibition Centre showcased the new Lucas E40 Tube lamps and a range of LED based lighting solutions including U-Tron's Lucas LED street lights, BatLED flood lights and SoLED solar powered lights. Every Light that was on display was connected to U-Tron Intelligent Watts Meters to display their actual Energy Saving Conditions. U-Tron technical staff were on hand throughout the exhibition to demonstrate how the company's LED-based products provide environmentally friendly solutions for a wide range of lighting requirements, with reduced energy requirements, a higher quality of illumination and a lower total cost of ownership.

U-Tron Lucas LampUnlike most of the other exhibitors who had lights mounted high above the visitors U-Tron displayed its products at eye level enabling visitors to inspect the lamps closely and by touch and feel confirm that these LED products do not produce high temperatures when in operation. The Lucas LED lights were exhibited connected to U-Tron's Intelligent Watts Meters, enabling visitors to confirm for themselves the low power consumption of these products.

Over the three days of the exhibition more than 300 visitors from countries and regions including mainland China, France, India, Korea, Mongolia, the Phillippines and Taiwan visited U-Tron's stand. Visitors to the stand included representatives from more than 30 systems integrators in addition to suppliers: underlining the value of the exhibition as a B2B event. More than 15 orders were taken during the exhibition and a major distribution agreement was signed with a dealer from India.

Many visitors showed great interest in buying knocked down kits that could then be installed in their existing installations, replacing sodium or mercury lamps. Of particular interest to potential buyers from municipalities in China is that the LED lamps could be assembled locally, providing local employment and attracting support from their local government.

In keeping with the theme of advanced technology, U-Tron's neighbors at the fair were Cree, Inc., the U.S.-based developer and manufacturer of LED components that are incorporated in many of U-Tron's advanced designs. Cree ran a major seminar during the exhibition about the benefits of LED lighting, illustrating the seminar with examples of U-Tron Lucas LED lamps.

Raja Magasweran, the managing director of U-Tron said, "We were very happy with the outcome of the Exhibition which was a well run and worthwhile event."

About Lucas E40 Tube Lamps

Lucas E40 Tube lamps are introduced as replacements for old mercury vapor, incandescent and sodium lamps, which are outlawed in many countries for their high energy consumption. Using only 15 watts of electricity Lucas E40 Tube lights can replace 60W High Pressure Sodium lamps on 7meter (24 foot) lamp post.

Lucas Tube lights are manufactured with Cree XLamp XRE high power LED and can be used for indoor or out door applications and easily replace virtually any lamps that are designed for E40 lamp holders.
