U-Tron Pilots RMB300 Million TongZhou Re-Lamping Project

September 1, 2010 Beijing-based U-Tron Electronics pilots RMB300 million project to re-lamp Beijing Tongzhou district with new Lucas Twin Head LED very high power street lights. Beijing Tongzhou District Redevelopment Department has awarded U-Tron the re-lamping project for the Songzhuang Liuhe Bridge West road (通州宋庄六合乔西路).

If this project goes well it will lead to Tongzhou replacing its remaining 15,000 main road high pressure sodium lights with LED lights. The estimated value of this business to U-Tron is more than RMB300 million over the next two years. This is a pilot project and involves about 185 lampposts. Each lamppost currently has a 500 Watt HPS light facing the main road and a 250Watt HPS lighting the sidewalk. The re-lamping is a complex task due to the following existing conditions:

U-Tron Beijing Introduces Sales Kit For LED Helios

To assist resellers and retailers of its energy saving LED Helios light bulbs Beijing-based U-Tron has developed a sales kit illustating the energy saving benefits of LED Helios.

U-Tron has designed this kit using two simple watt meters side-by-side in an enclosure where you can plug in two light bulbs from different manufactures to show your customer the numbers so he or she can tell for themselves which one consumes less energy. (The newer version of the Watt Meter from U-Tron has two easy E27 sockets on the top of the box so you don’t need table lamps. (Ordering part number is 6860-200-R2)
