U-Tron Exhibits Hardened Networking Poducts At Security China 2010 (Updated)
Bejing: October 29, 2010 (Updated October 30, 2010) - Beijing-based high tech company, U-Tron, will be attending
Security China 2010 - The 10th China International Exhibition on Public Safety and Security, which runs from November 2 to November 5 in Beijing, where it will be showing its latest range of Garrettcom hardened industrial switches: Networking products which are designed for surveillance and security under the harshest conditions.
U-Tron will be exhibiting its range of Garrettcom hardened industrial switches in
booth 9037 at The China International Exhibition Center. The Garrettcom range will be complemented by a display of U-Tron's LED lighting products applicable to security and surveillance operations.
The Garrettcom range of hardened switches can be deployed in sheltered outdoors conditions or in typically dirty, and often harsh industrial conditions.
On display will be a range of managed and unmanaged switches including Flexible Power over Ethernet (PoE) switches that can be extend surveillance to places where it is too difficult or too expensive to run electrical wiring. These offer fiber-based high bandwidth for real-time, redundant, full-motion video for:
Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS),
Ports and transport terminals,
Campus areas and parking garages,
Factory and utility perimeter security,
Mines.
The Garrettcom range Networking Products for entry monitoring and management also includes applications for access devices such as:

Magnum 6KL Industrial Ethernet Edge SwitchMagnum 6KL is an Industrial Ethernet Edge Switch with full-featured MNS-6K software. The base unit also has four 10/100 copper ports. Up to four 100Mb fiber ports (SC, ST, LC, and MTRJ), four 10Mb fiber ST ports, or up to four more 10/100 copper ports (or combinations) may also be configured. Ports offering up to 2 Gb ports are optional.
The hardened steel case serves as a heat sink for heat dissipation (no fans); and is rated IP52 for environmental protection. The case has a choice of light duty coating (6 mil) for humidity, and heavy duty (14 mil) for oil, gas and petrochemicals
Magnum 6KQ Industrial Ethernet Managed Field SwitchMagnum 6KQ Heavy Duty Field Switch for industrial networking applications. Full-featured MNS-6K software in a small factory-floor package that is highly configurable, and supports all fiber port types, with speeds of up to 12 100Mb and 2 Gb with SFPs. Multi-mode and single mode. The 6KQ features an advanced thermal design with a heavy-duty aluminum case with a ribbed surface for heat dissipation (no fans);
PES42P Power over Ethernet Edge Switch
PES42P offers four PoE ports in a small heavy-duty Ethernet switch, and a Power Source conforming to IEEE 802.3af. The switch and attached PoE devices are powered from an integral -48V DC terminal block. With a temperature rating of –40°C to 75°C PES42P is designed to handle heavy duty applications. RJ-45 ports support standard auto-negotiation and auto-cross to enable the connection of any 10 Mb or a 100 Mb device, regular or PoE. PES42P also has a DIN rail mounting option.
ES42 Edge SwitchES42 Edge Switches offer 4 10/100 Ethernet ports + 2 fiber ports, and different temp ratings ranging from an office environment to harsh outdoor conditions. ES42 Edge Switches may be panel mounted or mounted on DIN rails.
PS14P Power over Ethernet Switch
PS14P PoE switches offer four PoE ports in a small heavy-duty Ethernet switch, With a power source conforming to IEEE 802.3af. The switch and attached PoE devices are powered from an integral -48V DC terminal block. Different models provide for factory environments and outdoor environments. RJ-45 ports support standard auto-negotiation and auto-cross to enable attaching any 10 Mb or a 100 Mb device, regular or PoE.
CS14P Converter SwitchCS14 Converter Switches Combine a 100 Mb fiber Media Converter and 10/100 Ethernet switch into one unit, and provide a 100 Mb fiber port and two 10/100 copper switch ports. CS14 models are configured for a variety of application environments: ranging from offices and wiring closets to outdoor operations. Two RJ-45 ports support auto-negotiation to enable any 10 Mb or 100 Mb device to be attached to them. All Fiber port types supported: multi-mode and single-mode, standard size (ST, SC, FC) and Small-Form-Factor (MTRJ, LC).
