January 26, 2011 Beijing-based U-Tron Electronics successfully completed the Guangzhou “LED Street Light Demonstration” project. Featuring new Lucas Twin Head LED very high power street lights, the project was started in October 2010 and tested for 90 days and continuously collected data for comparison, is now rated number 1 among the 10 companies participated in the Demo.
City government is very pleased with the light spread and the energy savings data obtained from the test site.
"This project is important to us, since we are competing with many Guangdong LED manufactures who are very familiar with the local climate and government regulations" said Raja Magasweran, Managing Director at U-Tron, "The credit goes to our partners at SongSong, we are together with Guandong SongSong New Energy Development Company, hoping to supply 15,000 Twin-Heads in the year 2011"
